Banned sites, misspelled urls, banners!
Sites that have searching or other scripts running in the background have been banned.
They are a pain for surfers. Many times the site just freezes and you can't do anything but wait or reload. And sometimes they go to a framebreaker.
These are useless sites that make using a traffic exchange hard.
Please do not submit such sites. They will be deleted along with any credits they have. I surf traffic exchanges on a regular basis, including Surftiger, and these sites are rapidly becoming very bad news. Many other exchanges are banning them as well! Bottom line is this: if it inerferes with surfing using normal Internet Explorer and Yahoo's popup blocker, it will probably not be approved.
If you need a popup blocker, try Yahoo's. It's pretty good.
All sites are manually approved, but many domains are fine, so no visual checking is done. Just a check as to the domain. However, quite a few urls have misspellings. I can't imagine how this happens, as you need to see your site in the frame to submit it. MANY sites might slip through our process as the domains are preapproved. BUT, this means you need to be very sure of the spelling! It is quite a nuisance to email each member about an error message. Chances are, we just might not. So, watch your spelling!

Framebreakers $$$$
If you use Internet Explorer,
have a decent antivirus/popup blocker, your surfing on Surftiger will
be pretty decent. All sites are checked manually. BUT....
I hate framebreakers as much as the next surfer. I am a surfer too.
Many exchanges are very lax on this. Many times people will submit
sites with ad codes that change..and BOOM...framebreaker. This is
not as bad for Surftiger, as you get credit for the first site.
But it is a pain to go back. Many times you cannot report that site.
I know. I'm working on a solution. Right now there seems to be one
possible framebreaker. As in the past, I will pay $10 to anyone who
can find a framebreaker. It cannot be your site you report. And I
have to be able to duplicate the framebreaking. If it does not
break out for me, I consider it clean. I surf with settings of a normal
surfer. BUT...you need to surf with antivirus and a popup blocker just to
be sure. The popup blocker is optional. Antivirus/antispyware is not.
